ORIGAMI WARRIOR LIFE LESSONS – SUCCESS IN TODAYS MARKET
If you asked 100 people to define for you what “SUCCESS” means to them, how many different answers do you think you would get? Probably about 100. Each of us has a different idea of what it means to us. So how do you go about achieving this thing called success?
For many the "American Dream" is to be able to do what you want, when you want and to be able to afford to do this. With the start of each new year it is part of our culture to set "New Year Resolutions." Did you make some? If so, are you following through with them? Are you actually achieving them? My goal here is not to make you feel bad; but simply to point out that many times we fall short on our goals. Why is that? Have you ever wondered, what is the difference between those that reach their goals and those that do not?
The Origami Warrior wants to ask you two questions:
"Are you wise enough to learn from someone who’s disposed to teach you? and "Do you think the information on how to achieve success you want is available somewhere in some material?"
If the answer to these questions is "YES", then all you have to do is to locate the vehicle or medium and the channel or process to bring the two together.

Are you serious about your success? Do you have goals set? Are they specific with timelines? Are they in writing? Are they posted somewhere that you see them every day, a couple of times a day? Success requires more than motivation. You can read a book, listen to a motivational CD, you can read motivational books (a great idea). So what is it that is missing? Why have you not reached your idea of success in your life?
Part of the problem is the fact that we must make choices that are in alignment with our goals. "If you continue to do what you have always done, you will continue to get the same results." Are you investing in your success education? What was the last
book you read about success? Have you taken any courses? Or have you simply gone about your day as you always have done, simply complaining about the rising costs of things, complaining about not making enough money, complaining about your boss, etc… Be sure to check out Leadership Series For Successful Living.
We all have the power within us to be able to have or do whatever we desire. The answer lies within you. Are you self-motivated? directed, enthusiastic and are you persistent? But, the crucial ingredient or required character is "DISCOVERING YOUR CORE DESIRES."
What is a core desire? It is something you want so badly, that it haunts you, wakes you up at four am in the morning, a dream so vivid that it is nearly tattooed on your forehead. Once you discover it, it releases your conquering power. All of us have this. The definition of core desire is acting effectively and getting what one seeks by defeating all the barriers in the road using physical, mental and spiritual forces. This power is infinite and all you must do is to tap into it.
You must be completely ready to do whatever it takes to accomplish your core desires. Both the desire and the conquering power comes from within you. Yes, the Origami Warrior lives within all of us. You have what is needed inside you, no complaints, no whining, and as Nike says, "Just Do It!"

So what is the reason that MOST people do not succeed and get what they wish? Mark Twain, once said "I can teach anybody how to get what they want out of life, the problem is that I cannot find anybody who can tell me what it is they want!" Dude, I can help you with what you want, but the vast majority of people do not know how to discover and to recognize their core desires, the nitty gritty of their wants that permanently leaves their conquering forces and conquering power hidden, out of reach when they need it the most to overcome the difficulties they will encounter. An example is Abe Lincoln. He suffered numerous setbacks in his eminent political career once said "Always bear in mind that your own resolution (core desire) to succeed is more important than any other thing."
Passion is required, desire is required, willingness to do anything needed to succeed is required. On a scale of 1 to 10,
1 - never do
5 - half way effort
10 - core desire, burning desire, must do.
There will always be obstacles, things to overcome or go around, or go over and if your desire is from 0 - 9, it is not a core desire, it is simply a want, core desire must be a need to not a want to.
"The hand will not reach for what the heart does not long for." NOTHING can stop a core desire. It seems that INTENSE DESIRE, CORE DESIRE creates not only its opportunity but its own talents. A strong desire for any object will insure success for the desire for the end will point out the means. Devine providence will occur as it is a part of the infinite. It cannot be explained, nor is it stoppable, it just is.
So how do you identify your own core desires? Ask yourself these questions "What do I want to do? What do I want that I am not getting?" Once you know, ask yourself "If I had that, what would it give me that I am not getting already?" Keep asking, until you know.
You must learn to find the SPOT in your head, the zone if you will, you will feel it and then you will be motivated from within not without. Learn whatever you need to learn, the easy part is finding the source of knowledge. Acquire books, tapes, information that you need to be able to reach your core desires. Go after it concurrently not sequentially. What happens to us is that we stop learning, stop growing. We have been conditioned to believe that once we finish school we are done with education and nothing is further from the truth. Find a successful person and look at their library and you will find they have not stopped investing in theirminds, their education is on-going and continuous. They buy every new book about their craft, invest in every seminar and strive to continue learning from any source they can find. Be sure to check out Leadership Series For Successful Living.
If you do not get what you want, it is a sign that you did not want seriously want it.
